Frequently asked questions

Common Questions About Living and Creating at Sangha House

Are you a Buddhist Temple or religious organization?
Not exactly. While we’re inspired by Buddhist philosophy and meditation, Sangha House isn’t a temple or formal religious group. We’re a community space where ancient wisdom meets modern life — open to anyone interested in mindfulness, creativity, and personal growth.

Is it free to become a resident?
Not at this time. Residents contribute a modest monthly rent that helps sustain the home and its programs. In the future, we hope to offer scholarships or sponsorships to make residency more accessible for all.

Is all the work or art I create mine?
Absolutely. Everything you create is fully yours. We love showcasing resident art in the house and online, but ownership and proceeds from any sales remain with you.

I think my creative pursuit isn’t very traditional.
Perfect. That’s kind of our favorite kind. As long as your work comes from genuine passion and craft, it has a place here. Reach out and tell us more — we’re always open to new forms of expression.
