Candle making is both creative and meditative. Every pour is done with intention, care, and respect.
Setup
• Work surfaces clean and dry.
• Tie back hair; avoid loose clothing.
• Open windows or turn on ventilation.
• Place melters on stable, heat-safe surfaces.
• Gather wicks, jars, fragrance, thermometer, gloves.
During Pouring
• Never leave melting wax unattended.
• Do not overheat past ≈ 185°F.
• Label fragrance oils clearly.
• Pour slowly to prevent splashes.
• Wipe spills immediately.
• Keep the mood calm and focused.
Cleanup
• Turn off and unplug melters.
• Let wax cool before cleaning tools.
• Wash pitchers and thermometers with hot water.
• Store materials neatly.
• Empty trash and clear surfaces.
Safety Essentials
• Fire extinguisher nearby (check monthly).
• First-aid kit accessible.
• No open flames near melt stations.
• Use gloves or mitts for hot equipment.
